Puff n' Go — Dowagiac, MI ↗

Smoke & Vape Retail — New Opening

Branding & Logo Website Loyalty & Rewards System POS Kiosk Digital Menus & Signage Photography & Media Social Media Setup Fixture Assembly & Merchandising
The Situation

The operator was opening a new smoke and vape retail location in Dowagiac, MI with no existing brand, no name, no digital presence, and no physical setup. Nothing existed before this engagement — no logo, no website, no store identity of any kind. Opening day was a fixed target.

What We Built

Sunflare handled the complete buildout — naming, brand identity, website with a live loyalty rewards program and POS-integrated kiosk, digital signage, product photography, social media setup, and physical fixture assembly and merchandising in the store itself. Every customer-facing touchpoint, digital and physical, came from this engagement.

The Result

Puff n' Go opened on schedule with a complete, operational brand — a live website, a working loyalty program, a merchandised store, and a consistent visual identity across every surface. The operator walked in on day one with everything already running.

Cannabis Price Comparison App — Sunflare Internal Project

React / Compiled JS Third-Party API Integration Real-Time Price Comparison Multi-Shop Data Overlay Category & Strain Filtering SEO & Dynamic Canonicals Geolocation & Distance Sort Product Detail Pages Featured Listings & Profile Pages Merchant Admin Panel Search & Demand Analytics Dashboard Live Restock Tracking
The Situation

Southwest Michigan has two separate cannabis retail markets with real price competition — the New Buffalo lakeshore area, and the wider US-12 corridor along the Indiana border — but no way for a consumer in either to compare live prices across shops without visiting each one manually. Price differences on the same product between locations can be significant, and there was nothing in this market solving that.

What We Built

A live cannabis price comparison app for the corridor, powered by the 15carts API. Budscout pulls real-time menu and pricing data from every participating dispensary and surfaces it in a single searchable interface — with multi-shop price overlays, category and strain-type filtering, city/town labels, geolocation-based distance sorting, and individual product detail pages. The app is a dual-file React/compiled JS architecture, so it runs as a fast standalone web app without a build step on deployment. SEO is handled through dynamic canonicals, a sitemap, and a robots.txt — built to rank for the corridor's actual search terms.

Beyond search, dispensaries can purchase featured placement — a badge that follows the shop everywhere it appears, a boosted directory position, and its own profile page with hours, amenities, contact info, photos, and discount listings — without any of it ever touching price rankings, which stay driven purely by the underlying data. A full merchant-facing admin panel handles featuring self-service, and a separate analytics dashboard gives dispensaries and brands real search-demand insights — what people are searching for, what's going unfound, and how shoppers engage with listings, broken down by region. A live restocks feed rounds it out, surfacing products that recently came back in stock across the network.

The Result

Budscout is live at budscout.xyz, tracking dispensaries across two clusters: the New Buffalo lakeshore market, and the broader US-12 corridor stretching through Sturgis, Buchanan, Three Rivers, Coldwater, Constantine, Niles, White Pigeon, Dowagiac, Quincy, Reading, and Cassopolis. It's the only dedicated price comparison tool for this specific market — built and maintained by Sunflare as both a real product and a demonstration of what we can build at the technical end of the stack.
